Ministry Foundations Course

Purpose
Mandate Leadership School is a unique path to learning the fundamentals of the Bible, modern prayer disciplines, strategies for evangelism & missions, techniques for deliverance & personal freedom and basics of Christian leadership.
The Course prepares its students to serve the Body of Christ with confidence, competence, excellence and the anointing in local churches, faith based community organizations, the mission field, and the marketplace. The Ministry Foundations Course provides training that leads to ministry licensure and ordination for those who are called to public ministry.
Mandate SOM emphasizes preparing the disciple to hear the voice of God, know the word of God, serve in practical ministries, to pray and to win souls. Our distinctive is the integration of the Holy Spirit into our instructional model. We emphasize teaching with activation and demonstration in all that we teach. Our instructors model what they teach in their walk with God and impart a spirit-filled lifestyle to the students.

Format
The Ministry Foundations Course meets weekly for 1.5 hours for approximately 48 weeks. The course runs for 1 calendar year and includes class work, conference summaries and self-study. The course also includes 3 weekend conference sessions and service in the local Church. The Foundations course provides the disciple training in Bible basics: Personal Discipleship, Five-fold Ministry & Spiritual Gifts, Intercession & Spiritual Warfare, Evangelism & Missions, Deliverance & Personal Freedom, and Leadership Skills.

Audience
The Ministry Foundations Course is a good fit for those who have a desire to grow in prayer, soul winning, and service to Christian organizations, community organizations and the marketplace. We prepare leaders to lead balanced lives in the church, community and business arena. Our students receive in depth training on how to hear the voice of God, and are prepared to go forth as servant leaders in the Body of Christ. Our desire is to prepare a generation of Christian leaders who are willing to become mature disciples so that they can identify and develop mature disciples in the future. The course is perfect for those who feel like they have the call of God, but need direction and definition. It’s also good for those who are sure of their calling, but desire formal training and mentoring. The course prepares disciples for public ministry, but is open to all desiring to grow in their walk with God, not just those with a minister title. Those called to serve in business and community leadership are encouraged to attend.

Course Fees
As MLS is a ministry of Glory Covenant Church, we are not a profit driven entity. The course fees are modest and are set to cover the cost of materials, operation of the facility, and honoraria for instructors. A summary of fees is below, and we
will also accept free will offerings to cover additional expenses, fellowship meals, and outreach expenses. We don’t desire the Fees to prohibit anyone from attending but expect and agree that the Lord will provide where there is a sincere desire to attend.
